This sub-group at MSHS is for students who intend to apply for membership in the National Honor Society during the fall of their junior year or fall of their senior year.
In addition to meeting the GPA requirement, applicants must submit a total of 20 or more community-service hours here on InnerView: - in activities posted here (example: school blood drive), - in outside activities (example: volunteering at the Humane Society), - or a combination of the two.
Guidelines: volunteer service should - benefit people outside of one's family or close group - serve an identifiable need such as hunger, health, education, etc. (apart from religious instruction, worship, or recruitment) - not receive pay - be supervised by an adult contact like a teacher, organizer, etc. (not a parent)
