The Billion Oyster Club is an organization that works to restore oyster reefs to New York Harbor. Packer has a site down at Pier Five where we will manage cages that hold up to 300 oysters, cleaning and collecting data on water quality. We will learn about how oyster reefs filter our waters and protect our city from storm damage, and will partner with the MS and LS to take younger students on field trips after school to visit the cages.
