The Navy Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (NJROTC) is a program offered at accredited high schools across the United States that aims to develop values in students. The program was established in 1964 by Public Law and is led by retired Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard officers and enlisted personnel.
The program's mission is to instill values such as citizenship, personal responsibility, and service to the United States. The curriculum focuses on leadership, maritime heritage, naval operations, and other naval topics, and includes classroom instruction, activities, and drills. Activities may include community service, athletics, drill competitions, field trips, basic leadership training, color guard, and sports day.
