The Village of Lake in the Hills strives to protect the health, safety, welfare, and economic vitality of the citizens of the Village of Lake in the Hills through the provision of high-quality services and programs. The Village Board is the most effective body by which public and private interests both inside and outside of the community can come together to plan for the future needs of the community. 
The mission of the Parks and Recreation Department is to efficiently and economically provide quality recreation programs, facilities, and open spaces that are designed to enhance the leisure time experiences of the community.
