  • Our recycling infrastructure and waste management systems are broken. To tackle the crisis of plastic pollution, we need:

    1. Corporations to be held responsible for producing waste;

    2. Consumers to have better access to an understandable recycling system;

    3. The federal government to set national standards for recyclability and recycled content.

    Companies and policymakers must lay the groundwork for a circular economy that allows us as consumers to reuse, recycle and reduce our plastic footprint.

    Today at 1pm PT / 4pm ET, WWF's experts will be speaking about the plastic pollution crisis we face and the solutions we're calling for. The discussion will dive deeper into the policies and packaging standards needed for real-world impact towards a plastic-less world.
