One Warm Coat is a national non-profit that works to create awareness of the vital need for warm coats across the country. They work with agencies across the US that help ensure everyone has protection from the cold.
They would like your help in creating kind notes that they can include in the pocket of the coats that they distribute.
Create 8 small hand-written Pocket Notes with positive messages such as "Have a great day!" or even fun winter jokes that will bring a smile to anyone's face. The person who receives your note could be any age, so keep that in mind. If you cut a full-size sheet of paper into 4 smaller pieces, that's about the right size. Make them colorful and cheery and sign them with your name and hometown (ie. Sophie from Cincinnati, OH).
Mail/deliver your completed notes:
Use the nonprofit locator on One Warm Coat's website and choose the agency you want to send your Pocket Notes to. You could even drop them off in person if there's a location close to you.
Include a slip of paper in your envelope that says you're sending Pocket Notes for the coats they distribute and if they have questions, to check with Jennifer Hanes from One Warm Coat.
