On Season 3, Episode 4 of the Race To Speak Up Podcast, Carol Deely is a mother and President and Founder of Gabriel’s Light. In 2019, Carol and her husband Bren-dan, founded Gabriel’s Light, in honor of their son who died by suicide on November 14, 2018 at the age of 12. The mission of Gabriel’s Light is to prevent youth suicide through education, cyber safety, and kindness campaigns. They share their journey with the hope that others may learn and grow from their tragedy.
Gabriels Light shares their story to build awareness of youth suicide as a growing public health problem. Through outreach programs, partnerships, raising awareness and inspiring youth, parents, and educators to take action and help forward their mission.
