  • The world needs your voice! As the UN Deputy Secretary-General said, "peaceful, inclusive societies require greater commitment from all in power to strengthen democracy and respect the Rule of Law."

     

    This fall, we invite you to join our Call for Creative Action and explore the meaning of democracy and freedom. You can use your creativity to inspire change and shape a future where democracy and human rights are upheld for all.




    Option 1: Democracy Through Your Lens - Photo Essay Challenge


    • Grab your camera (phone or digital) and capture the essence of democracy in action!

    • Think voting lines, community meetings, protests for change, or even acts of kindness that reflect democratic values.

    • Create a captivating photo essay with 5-7 images and captions explaining the significance of each.

    • How to Create a Meaningful Photography Essay 


    Option 2: Freedom Unfiltered - Video Interview Series


    • Grab your phone and become a mini-documentarian!

    • Interview people from different backgrounds, asking one simple question: "What does freedom mean to YOU?"

    • Capture their diverse answers in a 2-minute video. Feel free to add visuals representing their perspectives.

    • Top Tips for Filming with a Phone


     

    How to Submit:


    • Write 5-7 sentences about your creative process. What did you learn? What surprised you? What was most compelling? What does democracy and freedom mean to you?

    • Upload your written response and your photo essay (jpg or png) or video (mp4) to InnerView AND email to [email protected]
