At Travis Manion Foundation (TMF), our vision is to create a nation of purpose-driven individuals and thriving communities that is built on character.
One of the 24 Character Strengths TMF focuses on is LOVE. We define love as: valuing close individual relationships with others. We are challenging you to use this character strength to help others as we approach Valentine’s Day. Create and hand out notes of love and kindness to at least to two (2) people in your community. Try to identify people who would really benefit from receiving your note - maybe they're isolated or going through a rough time or you haven't seen them in awhile. You can use the love jar template, or create your own!
Before his final deployment to Iraq, Travis left us with a simple but powerful ethos. “If Not Me, Then Who...” describes the sense of duty felt by service members and their families. Today it is a constant reminder for all of us to live with character and put the interests of others before our own.
