  • A Traveling Postcards Workshop is a therapeutic, healing arts workshop that gives voice and comfort to survivors of gender violence. They bring their workshop to domestic violence shelters, refugee centers, college campuses, military bases, community centers, homes and church basements. This short video provides an overview of the program -> vimeo.com/406656470

You can contribute by creating a postcard on your own and mailing it to the Traveling Postcard Workshop organizers. They will share your handmade postcard as a gift to a survivor of sexual assault, domestic violence, sex trafficking or political sexual violence. They will also exhibit your postcard in their gallery!

Think of your postcard as a gift and a piece of art that includes a message of hope. Here are their detailed instructions -> https://www.travelingpostcards.org/postcards-from-home-1

    • Use heavy card stock or even thin cardboard from a gift box, not a flimsy piece paper

    • Cut to 4"x6" or 4.5"x5.5"

    • Get creative! See examples of other cards in their gallery -> https://www.travelingpostcards.org/gallery

    • They encourage you to decorate every centimeter of your card, back and front. Many participants create a visual composition on the front of the card and use the back to write a message to the recipient. Some people write full sentences, some use a few or one word to convey their message.

Put your postcard in an envelope and mail to:
