EARTH MONTH - CLIMATE CHAMPION

Use your leadership skills to raise awareness for Everyday Climate Actions!  

The Climate Action Counts campaign is uniting ONE MILLION Californians to take everyday climate actions for collective impact. From volunteering or composting at home to planting native trees and supporting local farmers, these small, every day actions can create big impacts in our homes and neighborhoods, building stronger, more resilient communities. 

We are looking for student leaders to talk to friends, family, clubs and classes to encourage them take the pledge! 

BE A CLIMATE CHAMPION - Youth Leader Activities

• Check out the resources (below) so you can talk about the campaign & pledge to others


• GET COUNTED - TAKE THE PLEDGE  yourself in a few clicks!


• Set a target of people to join you as well as a stretch target! Start with friends & family


• Speak to clubs, classes, table at lunch or get on morning announcements! 


• To register as a Climate Champion: On Innerview - Describe your effort and the groups you worked with and how many pledges you earned - include a photo in action!

INCENTIVES aligned with pledges you earn

+ 50 Pledges = State Climate Champion Certificate

+ 150 Pledges = Entered to win $500 Gift Card and Grade or School-wide recognition from California Volunteers Office of the Governor

+ 1,000 Pledges = T-shirt + Invited to Youth Engagement Committee
