Living Values Education: Peace, Self Respect and Benevolent Assertion -- Growing tools
to deal with unkindness and bullying
Session Four of the Exploring Peace Unit — April 23rd
In our fourth session with Diane Tillman, the co-creator of Living Values Education (LVE) and an educational psychologist, she will talk briefly about the downward spiral of violence and control, and the emotions under anger. She will then explore the three typical responses to bullying, and different tools to respond to unkindness and bullying. Aggressiveness and passivity invite bullying to continue. Humor with self respect and benevolent assertion are powerful tools to deal with people who bully. Staying in peace, self-respect and inner power fuel our ability to use these tools. Diane will be happy to answer any questions. The session will end with a filling with peace, self-respect and inner power relaxation exercise.
