  • New Podcast Episode: How One Student Is Changing Lives Through Compassion and Action

Meet Bella Brown, Co-Founder and President of Living Outside, an organization she started as a student to serve people experiencing homelessness — and to help others see their humanity.

In this powerful episode of the Humanity Rising Podcast, hosted by Feven Tesfaye, Bella shares how her passion for helping those in need became deeply personal after meeting her Uncle Jay, who experienced homelessness. What began as empathy turned into action — and ultimately, the creation of Living Outside, a youth-led movement delivering care kits, direct aid, and dignity to those living on the streets.

A recent graduate of Walter Payton College Prep and a Humanity Rising Service Scholarship Winner, Bella proves that one student’s idea can create real, lasting impact. She’s also the National President of the Junior Economic Club and the Executive Director of Innoverge — all while being a competitive dancer and full-time change-maker!

Watch now to be inspired — and learn how YOU can help by organizing a Care Kit drive in your school or community.
