  • At RHS Wisley in the UK, scientists are working to protect plants without harmful pesticides by testing natural methods like companion planting. The challenge is that many pests are tiny and difficult to track, so researchers are building an AI system to automatically detect insects—and they need your help.

You’ll look at real images from plant trials, spot and mark insects, and help train an AI to identify pests. No experience is needed—just attention to detail.

Your work will help reduce the need for chemical pesticides, support more sustainable agriculture, and contribute to real scientific research. By participating, you’re helping scientists answer an important question: can we protect plants naturally at scale?
