SUMMARY
Reflection
Through this project, I learned the value of publishing education materials by kids, for kids! By creating an interactive packet, with suggestions and ideas for kids to get involved with their own history and the history of their nation, I learned that learning about the past, and those lesser-known individuals who are so often lost to history, allows me to better value my family history and my country today! While this project was an endeavor and took a while to finish, I am so grateful for the opportunity to work on material that will impact kids around the country!
Project Impact
My project will impact over 8000 people over the course of the next year, as it will be utilized by the N.S.C.A.R., and it's over 8000 members, as well as by partner organizations.

I shadowed personnel at the State Archives and the Museum of Natural History! I got to meet the Attorney General and the Governor! It was a great week!

Project Planning

I created and published a hashtag for the National Society Children of the American Revolution to use in addition to my packet to raise awareness for lesser known patriot of the American Revolution!

Do the Project
10.00 hours leading an initiative | Connectedness
I created a packet that gives ideas for children to engage with history and learn more about lesser-known patriots, including women, people of color, indigenous Americans, and children. I then sent the packet to the National Society Children of the American Revolution to be published and distributed across the country.

Project Outcomes & Reflection
1.00 hour leading an initiative | Connectedness
My project is officially complete! After I created the digital packet, it was then sent to the National Society Children of the American Revolution to be published on their website for free and printed at a cost of $10 each as a fundraiser for the national education initiative of working towards honoring lesser-known patriots of the American Revolution! I was asked to find a creative way to market the hard copy, and it was so much fun! What a way to end the project!
