SUMMARY
Reflection
What I have learned when I did this sock drive for Helping Hands and Caring Hearts a local organization that helps the homeless and veterans. Is that something as simple as getting a new pair of socks is a luxury and I should never take small things like that for granted. I did also learn that doing something for someone other than you has a rewarded feeling when it is all done. I also saw the community come together in a way when may stop to donate to our collection drive, Overall, this experience was a very good and rewarding one.
Project Impact
The amount of hours spent on this project was approximately 10 hours overall. The amount of pairs of socks we collected was 242 pairs of socks.

I contacted the owner of Helping Hands and Caring Hearts to get more information and we are now setting up dates and ready to get the word out

I designed a poster and have posted it on neighborhood group chat to help to promote our drive. I will also be sending it to friends and family to help promote it!

I did the collection drive from 12pm-4pm. I donated socks for Helping Hands and Caring Hearts. With the money donations I went to the store after and bought 100 dollars worth of socks for the drive! It was an amazing experience that I am able to help those in need who truly need it most.

I dropped off all the supplies to the owner of the organization Helping Hands And Caring Hearts. Tomorrow at his soup kitchen he will pass out socks to the homeless that are in need. This was an amazing experience I will never forget!
