SUMMARY
Reflection
I'm very grateful for this amazing experience where I was able to interact with great like minded people and have to chance to create my own community impact project. I was able to practice real world skills such as leadership, advertising, fundraising, and so much more. I was also amazed by the feedback I received about the project as people were not only interested in donating, but also wanting to volunteer and learn more about the Zero Hunger Zero Waste Cause.
Project Impact
In total, there was about 100 people engaged in the event. A total of about 80 food donations and about $160 dollars was given back to the Midwest Food Bank.
PROJECTS TASKS

Idea - Proposal Submission
1.00 hour leading a program | Compassion
My motivation is to leave a positive impact within my community and increase the enthusiasm surrounding all forms of volunteering. I want to get more people excited about helping out with the Zero Hunger cause and to create an event which leads people to truly realizing the gratification that is involved with making someone else's day better. The working name of my project is "A Raffle Where Everyone Wins." The intent of the project is to increase the enthusiasm surrounding the Zero Hunger Cause and all proceeds will go back to families in need and organizations which don’t have the transportation resources to travel all the way to the food bank.

Planning & Partnering for Success
3.00 hours leading a program | Compassion
I was able to partner up with my local Kroger where I would be able to host my Raffle which coincides with a food drive. I was able to print flyers that helped to publicize the event and settled details with Midwest Food Bank as my non profit organization where proceeds would go.

Preparation, Promotion & Project Execution
5.00 hours leading a program | Compassion
I was able to gather all the materials needed for my event and complete my set up at my local Kroger. The set up included all my raffle bakets, tickets, and a place for food donations. After the event, I was happy to see lots of food and monetary donations. I was proud of how many people participated and engaged in the event as well as the interests it gathered about the Zero Hunger Cause. A couple days after the event, I was able to send donations to Midwest Food Bank and give the winners their raffle baskets.

Celebrate Impact & Reflection

I'm very happy with how my community impact project when and the positive impact that I was able to spread. I'm grateful for all the support that I have gotten from the council that allowed me to conduct this project just the way that I had initially imagined. This experience was unlike anything I've ever done and I'm grateful for getting an opportunity to do something like this.
