SUMMARY
Reflection
After completing this back to school drive, I felt very accomplished and proud of the impact my project made on my community. Through marketing and initiating this drive, I learned that it can be difficult to gain traction and attention for large projects. This taught me to market on a smaller scale starting off and to tell friends, adults, and teachers in order to gain more donations. Overall, I am happy with all the work we did and how it led to future partnerships and donations along the way.
Project Impact
We were able to garner 1,000+ pads. With this we stocked the bathroom carts in my school and still have 800+ leftover to distribute to school around my area. Ultimately helping the female student body in our school as the carts were completing empty by the end of the week!
PROJECTS TASKS

Governors Page Week
10.00 hours participating in an awareness event | Compassion
Worked in different NC government departments such as DPS and the Governors Office. I was responsible for dealing with the governors schedule along with aiding DPS wherever they saw fit. Lastly, I proposed a policy to DHHS along with others, and I started working on a service project for the program.

Project Planning
24.00 hours leading an initiative | Compassion
- Running a donation drive for school supplies and menstrual hygiene products for K-12 schools in my area. My passion project—#FortheGirls—has received over 1,000 pads in support from a non profit organization and plan to store hygiene boxes inside our local CMS libraries along with flyers to gain more donations.
- On the day of the event stock carts with products. Fill each volunteers up with the products to evenly distribute them and stock them in school.
- Run drive from August to September, creating enough time for people to donate.

Do the Project
2.00 hours leading an initiative | Compassion
Stocked the hygiene carts in Mallard Creek High Schools women's bathroom. Carts included pads, deodorant, hygiene wipes, hair ties, and more products to support the physical and mental needs of the teenage girls and women in the school! Gardened proceeds from the nonprofit Posh Pack, enabling us to receive more products then needed. We aim to use these additional products in other CMS school bathrooms. Though we stocked the carts, we continued the drive until the first week of october in order to gain more supplies to donate back to the commnity!

Project Outcomes & Reflection
2.00 hours leading an initiative | Compassion
Overall, the project received many more donations then expected, resulting in an abundance of products to donate to Mallard Creek High School. The drive was very successful and received much support. I was able to stock bathroom carts and increase the positive environment for women in my school.
The hardest part about this drive was promoting it and increasing awareness. Though many people cared it was hard to reach an audience who wanted to donate and support. I solved this issue by reaching out to groups of people and assigning task to my officer team to promote the drive.
The fundraiser was not only an amazing opportunity to help women and teenage girls but it also was a learning lesson and taught me how to generate funds and bring together a community. I'm really happy with the outcome and I was able to work in a team to help our target group.
