PROJECTS TASKS
Community Outreach Project
5.00 hours leading a program | Connectedness
Partnering with Glenbrook North High School’s mental health Advisory Board, I was able to utilize one of the meetings as an opportunity to do my Community Outreach Project. At the meeting, we used Play Doh to create mini sculptures related to mental health, such as things that made us happy or relieved stress. It was a very fun, engaging, and successful event!
CreateConnectCare - Creative Activism
4.00 hours leading a program | Connectedness
During each Mindful Moments to Thrive events, I have an insightful presentation on the purpose of the #CreateConnectCare campaign, including the importance of youth mental health awareness, stigma, education, and connectedness.
Role + Reflection
1.00 hour leading a program | Compassion
As a second year member of the national youth mental youth committee, I found it extremely inspiring to set up another community project based on #CreateConnectCare because of the impact I left on students. It was ultimately a very joyful experience as I got to help support a cause that I I am proudly passionate about: youth mental health.
