SUMMARY
Reflection
I was excited to use my skills to organize a group around a common goal of cleaning a park. I found the project incredibly rewarding to see how much cleaner the park was after we completed the project. I am proud of the positive impact my volunteers and I have had on our community.
Project Impact
Cleaned a local park and prevent trash from entering the little river. Filled 3 trash bags with litter from the park with the help of 4 volunteers.

Project Planning
1.00 hour leading an initiative | Compassion
I planned to clean a local park near a river by picking up litter around the park. I asked the scouts in my troop to help clean up the park. Many scouts volunteered and I have plenty of help. I will supply trash bags I already have and ask scouts to bring their own gloves.

Do the Project
1.00 hour leading an initiative | Compassion
Scouts from my troop and I picked up trash at a local park in Zebulon that is often very dirty. We collected a few bags of trash and left the park significantly cleaner than we found it.

Project Outcomes & Reflection
1.00 hour leading an initiative | Connectedness
This project taught me how to work together and organize a group to help my community. I had already use these skills previously as part of my Eagle project but it was nice to revisit the skills. This project was rewarding because I could see a significant difference after we finished cleaning the park. My troop and I were proud of the positive difference we were able to make in our community. Overall, the project was very successful and I faced very little complications which could have prevented me from completing the project.
