We get asked this question often. Why boxing? Isn’t it dangerous? Doesn't it promote violence? Yes, boxing is a combat sport. It teaches a person how to hit and how to defend him/herself. However, there is so much more to the sport. Given the proper training, boxing can provide kids with self-confidence, strength (both mentally and physically), and a way to positively channel aggression. Many of our champs choose not to ever step inside the ring. The physical and structured training alone provides them with greater self-confidence, spilling over into their everyday lives.
