The Huntley Rotary Club focuses on hands-on projects in the local community that provides members with opportunities for growth in leadership and networking. The group also promotes fellowship events that build lasting friendships. As part of Rotary International, the club is also contributing to End Polio in the world, and working on literacy and clean water projects.
The Huntley Rotary Club was chartered in 2000 and has contributed to many worthwhile projects locally and around the world. Local projects include sponsoring Rotary Exchange Students, providing digital literacy tools to children and students in School District 158 and the Huntley Area Public Library, support for the Grafton Food Pantry and local Salvation Army projects, and fundraisers which raise awareness and funds for other local non-profit groups.
Internationally, the club raises awareness and funding for clean drinking water in developing nations, has purchased Shelterboxes for areas devastated by natural disasters, and supports the good work of the Rotary Foundation such as the eradication of polio.
