Embrace is a center for community where individuals, agencies, and organizations come together to support neighbors and build a stronger Waynesboro. To this work, Embrace Waynesboro offers use of its building and grounds to more than 30 community partners so that they can strengthen their outreach to area residents. We also work with our partners to offer dozens of programs designed to nurture strength, justice, and resiliency. These include a community help desk for resource navigation, twice-monthly free medical clinics, a zero-barrier community garden and free outdoor refrigerator, clothing closets, special programs to provide basic essentials for teens and others students in need, nutrition and wellness clinics, educational opportunities, English-language learning and translation services, mental health education classes, addiction recovery and behavioral support groups, support for families of students, a free weekly veterans brunch, programs for seniors and caregivers, and more. We also host community gatherings that encourage residents to get to know each other and engage in problem solving.
