Youth & Family Services (YFS) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) agency that works to help close the opportunity gap for disadvantaged children and young people in the Black Hills community. Each year, we serve thousands of children and their families throughout 31 counties in western South
Dakota — many living in poverty — providing food, access to health care, counseling services, trauma treatment, education, prevention programs, and other support. YFS is dedicated to supporting children in overcoming these challenges by building a network of coordinated services that give them hope. Our agency is committed to developing community-wide networks for creating bridges out of poverty and increasing economic literacy among young people and their families. Achieving these goals requires enlisting the cooperation of parents, staff, teachers, service providers, and generous community members.
