The Center for Conservation Leadership (CCL) is a community outreach initiative of Lake Forest Open Lands Association (LFOLA). While Lake Forest Open Lands focuses on land preservation, stewardship, and education within Lake Forest and Lake Bluff, CCL focuses on breaking down barriers to the natural world for communities throughout Lake County: fostering future conservation leaders through immersive outdoor experiences and community-based learning that ENGAGE, INSPIRE, and ACTIVATE. CCL welcomes lifelong learners of every age, ability, background, and identity. Our approach is experiential and community-based, offering: Field trips and naturalist-led explorations Mindfulness practices Canoe building workshops Stewardship opportunities Guided family and youth nature experiences Customized programs with partner organizations Whether someone is taking their first step outdoors or is already passionate about nature, CCL creates space for everyone to connect, learn, and grow!
