The Flower Garden Banks National Marine Sanctuary is hosting an Open House for the public, and volunteers are needed to lead activities, speak with guests, and set-up/tear down for the event. Anyone interested in marine science will love this opportunity! A separate training will take place for students to educate them on the FGBNMS ahead of time.

Volunteers will help set up a table and encourage customers to try the bakers dozen promotion. They will also help with collection donations and sharing information on the Mission MetroWest campaign.

You will be at a pole shed on the county grounds helping to build beds!

Youth for the Greater Congaree is a student-run organization working with local organizations with the goal of protecting local wetlands. It is imperative that Gills Creek Parkway is cleaned up because the litter that gets into the Gills Creek Watershed will eventually go into the ocean.

Please meet at the Bobby Hull Ice Rink Parking Lot (5410 W. 34th St.) at 9:00 a.m. on May 16. You will be assigned clean up locations. Lunch will be served to volunteers after 1:00 p.m. at the Park on 34th and Laramie! Please wear a Morton top and appropriate bottoms.

Every year the town runs a town-wide cleanup/beautification project and HHS puts in a team. I need 9 students to join our team. I signed us up for planting/gardening. I will get our assignment on May 8 and will share more information with those who sign up. 

We will be cleaning up a certain section of Huntsville by La Quebrada. Your job will be to pick up the trash and make sure you follow the safety guidelines.
