    SUMMARY
    Reflection
Over the course of this project, I learned the skills required to lead change in our community. It was really hard at first to find a team that had the time and resources to work with me. After networking with multiple groups, I realized that while our goals may align, it takes a lot of work to organize a project. After partnering with the PTO at my school, I was helped by administration and multiple students ranging from Sophomores-Seniors in building a team. I learned that every goal has multiple baby steps. I set out wanting to recycle all the organic food waste produced at my school, but then overtime I realized I need to start small and work my way up.
    Project Impact
At the beginning of our project, I only had interest from a few students, but in two weeks my compost group grew to 10+ students actively participating. Over the course of a month, we have produced 42 gallons of compost that is still currently breaking down, and we have another 12 gallons of working compost in the holding side of our tumbler. This project has made more people aware of composting at our school, and will continue to grow when we proceed into the next school year since this year has come to an end.

It's been a little over a month since we launched our composting program. Now, I have a team helping us, and we collect every Thursday until Testing is over. We are now working to secure more funding and expand our responsible energy use.
