PROJECTS TASKS

Page Week
10.00 hours participating in an awareness event | Connectedness
This week, I was able to meet many influential leaders in the North Carolina State Government, exposing myself to many different careers. I also began to understand the Executive Branch of the government more deeply. I was also able to make friends with so many new people across the state, memories that I will cherish for a long time.

Project Planning
6.00 hours leading an initiative | Connectedness
I spent time preparing for the upcoming buddy program, creating a flyer with a location and publicizing it on multiple platforms to attract families. I also prepared activities to play with the kids, such as reading and drawing. We now have a total of five or so families in the weekly buddy program.

Do the Project
2.00 hours leading an initiative | Connectedness
In this photo, you see me drawing with a child in the buddy program for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. This was one of the first days of our now long-standing buddy program, where I spent roughly two hours with multiple children, playing with them while their parents conversed and spent time together.

Project Outcomes & Reflection
1.00 hour leading an initiative | Connectedness
Through this service project, I have been able to identify a pressing need in my community and give children with Autism Spectrum Disorder an avenue to connect with each other, while also giving their families the opportunity to as well. It was truly rewarding to be able to conduct this for them, and I hope to continue doing this weekly well into the future.
