SUMMARY
Reflection
I learned to provide for those who are less fortunate than me, and I also learned more about how the donations of food works, and how to organize things to benefit others.
Project Impact
Backpack Beginnings, a non-profit organization in Greensboro, works to provide families with the resources they need to thrive in a community. As a volunteer, I was able to contribute to this by organizing and creating meals for families in need!
PROJECTS TASKS

Page Week
10.00 hours participating in an awareness event | Respect
This week, we worked in the NC government as Governor’s Pages. We learned about civic engagement, met government officials, and worked in government departments. We also were challenged with creating our own policy to think about the future impact we could have on NC.

Project Planning
2.00 hours volunteering | Compassion
I put together bags of food to benefit families that are low-income or struggling to make ends meet. The goal was to ensure having no hungry families.

Do the Project
2.00 hours volunteering | Compassion
*same project as the required slot beforehand

Project Outcomes & Reflection
2.00 hours volunteering | Compassion
*once again, I completed the same project as in the above slot. Let me know if this counts! I enjoyed this service activity thoroughly and it ultimately taught me that not all families are as fortunate as I am to get certain things like a home cooked meal. I enjoyed contributing and giving back to the community.
