WHS is hosting a cheer competition and volunteers are needed! For this task, you will help the buses park at 10am in the upper parking lot, and direct visiting fans to the lower parking lot. Check in with Ms. Leverett upon arriving at WHS for your shift. 

Please wear an SJA shirt to volunteer. Wear closed-toe shoes and bring plenty of drinking water and a hat. Texas Adopt-A-Beach is an all-volunteer beach cleanup program dedicated to keeping Texas beaches clean, and educating our communities about the detrimental effects of marine debris on people and our environment.

 Help set up and tear down tents and stands, be ready to assist in any situation, and get more involved in our community! Please look for Lalo from Brownsville Wellness Coalition and make sure to get your name down on the log in sheet!   

Stepping Stones’ has volunteer shifts available through the school-year in our award-winning adaptive recation programs for children, teens and adults with disabilities. As a volunteer, join a group in navigating a schedule of art, nature, sensory and other seasonal activities. Volunteers are valued members of our inclusive program community, a big help to staff and support participants in having fun!

Volunteers will mostly be helping with check-in during the Fall Fest.  Volunteer Requirements: ✅ Wear jeans (no holes) ✅ Wear lace-up sneakers or boots ✅ Eat a good breakfast so you are ready to work all day ✅ Apply sunscreen ✅ Bring water ✅ Wear a school T-shirt or plain, logo-free T-shirt

Students will bring 5 boxes of tissues and attend the card making meeting. This is REQUIRED. If money is an issue, please contact Reina or Kathryn.

Create Plarn Mats for Unhoused. Plarn mats are sleeping mats made by crocheting or knitting with plastic yarn, or "plarn," which is made from recycled plastic bags. Bring as many grocery bags (as possible) to use to create mats.
